Eric founded Astute Technology Management under the name Eric Madden Consulting in 1998 and has since overseen and directed the firm’s growth into the team it is today.
In addition to his duties as president of the company, Eric is involved in numerous charity and business ventures throughout the Columbus area. He’s also an avid golfer who enjoys playing local courses, and courses around the country.
Eric still considers himself a computer nerd who enjoys learning about all facets of technology (especially cybersecurity) and how to leverage technology to improve both his life and the lives of those around him.
His love for technology started when his father purchased him a Tandy 1000 computer, in the 90s which prompted him to pursue a B.S. in Computer Information Systems, from DeVry University.
Kane obtained multiple vendor certifications while honing his technology skills in college before teaming up with Eric to start building Astute Technology Management at the young age of 21 years old.
For the past 13 years, he’s worn several technical hats within the company, including virtual chief information officer (vCIO), defining the company’s service desk culture, and serving as a primary cybersecurity lead for businesses throughout Ohio.
He now uses his hands-on technical expertise in all aspects of Astute Technology Management, ensuring service quality and supporting our technical team. When he’s not thinking about business IT, he’s playing golf or traveling with his 3 children.
Tim is responsible for identify new growth opportunities, building relationships with prospective clients, and guiding the sales strategy as Astute Technology Management expands across the Mid-West. With over 15 years in business development within the IT staffing industry, Tim has a proven track record of building lasting partnerships that have led to success for both him and his clients.
Anna serves as the Director of Finance and Human Resources, helping Astute Technology Management find and hire the best talent for each role and guiding its financial department.
Before joining the Astute Technology Management team in 2019, she worked in the healthcare and dentistry industries for 22 years as a treatment coordinator and clinical operations manager.
Scott has over 15 years of technical IT experience, which he uses to spearhead Astute Technology’s virtual chief information officer (vCIO) team. His job duties include helping guide our client’s IT strategy and roadmaps, ensuring that projects are completed on time and on budget, and ensuring that all our clients feel our commitment to win-win partnership.
He has many interests outside of technology. Scott is an active fundraiser for Pelotonia, a two-day bike ride in Columbus that raises funds for cancer research. He’s also an avid golfer who enjoys keeping Eric Madden on his toes.
Aaron has been managing computer systems and IT help desks for over 20 years. He currently uses his experience as service manager at Astute Technology Management, heading the technical support staff to meet our service-level agreements and ensure customer service success.
In his free time, he enjoys writing music and coaching youth basketball, and spending time with his wife and two children. He’s also been involved in the Dancing for Life breast cancer fundraiser for over a decade and is passionate about cancer awareness.
Aaron holds a B.S. in Computer Information Science with a minor in telecommunication from Ohio State University.
